Where I've been (And where this blog is going)

Hey everyone!  I'm back, after giving you an exciting few weeks of fun posts, I disappeared, and here's why.  The fiancĂ© and I had been renting an apartment for the past two years. Both of our families felt we were wasting money on rent when we could be saving money to buy a place of our own.  Combine that with the sudden expense of paying for a wedding, and we decided that at the end of our lease we had to find a new place to live (and our rent was going up to almost $2500 a month - WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!!!).  So, we've moved into my future-in-law's house. While this isn't an ideal living arrangement, it's not long term, and for the short term it's been quite lovely! We've been here almost 4 weeks now and things have been going okay (minus the power outage that effected the whole area!) Unfortunately, we don't have full time access to the kitchen since my future mother-in-law likes to cook as much as me. I don't have enough time or space to experiment in the kitchen, so the angle of this blog will change a bit for the time-being.

First, I have a special guest who will be posting some experiments for the next few weeks. The next post will be an introduction to her and her projects, and then you'll get to see them for a little while before she leaves the country (my sister!).

Then, I'll start up my oh, how pinteresting! Friday posts again. Hopefully I'll be able to experiment with the crafts a little more in our space rather than the food, but if I'm lucky I'll be doing some cooking too.

I also have a couple of wedding projects in the works, and as they get worked out I'll be posting the ones I want to share - I have to keep some of this close to the chest since I want to have some surprising elements on my wedding day!

I hope you stick around to hear about my sister's projects and see what exciting turns my blog takes while we figure out our living situation.  I can't wait to show you our new house once we've found one and moved in!

In the mean time - Shabbat Shalom everyone!  Enjoy your weekends, and stay out of the heat!!
